50th Reunion Details - September 8, 2022

Day time Events

We are offering two activities earlier in the day for those that wish to participate:

1) A Golf outing at Rosses Point Golf Course. Cost will be €60 each and tee times will be from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m. If you want to participate, email Andy Kilfeather at: kilfeather.andrew@gmail.com by Monday August 15th, 2022 as the club needs a firm confirmation. Payment will be made on the day at the Golf Club.

2) A fishing outing on Sligo Bay. Ewing’s Sea Angling, Rosses Point, Sligo Bay from 1:00 p.m. to 4 p.m. The cost of the boat is €280 for the three hour trip. If we get 8 people, the cost will be €35 each. If the number is lower we can still charter the boat but the cost would be split among the final number (i.e., 4 people = €70 each). All fishing gear is included except the fish. A beautiful trip and well worth the punt. If you wish to take part please contact Gerry Gallagher: ggallagher@gmsproductions.com by August 15th, 2022. Payment for these events is separate from the payment for the dinner. Each participant will need to arrange their own payment on the day.

                                                                                                                                 

The Reunion Programme

As far as the "official" reunion programme....

5:30 pm: A reception hosted by Mr Paul Keogh, Principal of Summerhill College in the “new” new building at 5:30 p.m. All members are cordially invited to attend and hear about all the developments that have taken place in recent years. Free of charge.

7:30 pm: A meet and greet reception will be held in the Sligo Park Hotel starting at 7:30 p.m. followed by dinner in a private dining room at 8:00 p.m. Our after dinner speaker will be a great Summerhill man Tommy Gorman who recently retired from RTE.

Cost of dinner will be €50 per person which includes contribution to the cost of invited guests. The cost of wine is not included, but will be negotiated with hotel.

Payment must be received no later than Monday, August 22nd, 2022.

We have arranged three methods of payment for dinner, one of which will hopefully suit everybody. Because we are not an official organisation, payments have to be made to the individuals listed below (aka the Committee).

Cheque: Those who wish to pay via cheque should send their payment for €50 to Andy Kilfeather, Ballygawley, Co. Sligo. Please make checks payable to “Andrew Kilfeather.”

PayPal: You can pay the €50 via Paypal using the link below or go to www.irish-showbands.com and click on the Donation button at the top of the page. The site is run by Gerry Gallagher

Via Phone/text: You can also pay the €50 using “Sumup” which is the system used by Liam Lipsett in his business. Simply call or text Liam at 086-162-8419 and he will send you an invoice via text which you can pay over the phone with a debit or credit card.

We also need an email from you to let us know your preferences:

Starter: Goat cheese or Caesar Salad
Main course: Sirloin Beef or Salmon 
Dessert: Profiteroles or Cheese cake
